Empirical Validation Using MAI Motion

A peer-reviewed pilot testing whether three squat repetitions capture the same biomechanics as the conventional five. Across 52 kinematic parameters in 10 adults, no mean differed significantly — and the three-rep protocol was fractionally the more consistent of the two.

A peer-reviewed study that turns ordinary RGB video into objective motion-based biomarkers — using 3D mesh recovery and principal component analysis to find which movement features change measurably after a knee injection, validated against pre- and post-treatment data from 20 adults with knee pain.

A Low-Cost Human Motion Analysis Method

The foundational study comparing marker-less RGB-D capture against the marker-based Knee Kinesiography system during treadmill gait — showing that strapping hardware to the leg suppresses knee flexion range by 10–15°, and that marker-less capture measures walking closer to how it naturally happens.
